The singer-songwriter made a name for himself busking and performing on the streets of Brighton.
The 31-year-old, who rose to fame with the release of his EP Let It Go in 2014, attended Bimm (The British and Irish Modern Music Institute) in Brighton and previously revealed he was spending his afternoons busking in The Lanes.
Now he wants to give back to the community by offering a personal guitar lesson to five people who ordered his new album jump from his official store, as part of a collaboration with guitar company Fender.
The album is available for purchase until 4pm on Thursday July 14, while classes take place on July 25 at Fender’s new London artist showroom.
“Learning to play guitar has always worked best for me when I had someone to show me,” James said.
“It’s the most fun and interactive way to learn. I look forward to getting together at Fender and sharing some of my favorite tricks and moves to help someone improve their game.”
Winners will also receive 12 months of free access to Fender Play, the all-in-one online guitar, bass and ukulele learning platform.
The musician will also play an intimate album launch show at Chalk in Brighton on July 18th.
