James Corden has added his name to the long list of celebrities who shared their thoughts on the shocking moment Will Smith slapped Chris Rock in the face during the 94th Academy Awards.
The Gavin and Stacey star, 43, has claimed that the Best Actor winner “can’t take a joke” and seemingly sided with fellow comedian Chris in the argument.
Hollywood was stunned when Will stormed the stage to smack the rush hour actor on Sunday night after the stand-up comic made a tasteless joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.
The actor – who later picked up his first Oscar – has since apologized for his actions and it has been confirmed that no charges have been filed with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
James used his American late-night talk show to voice his views and decided to mention the much-discussed incident in his own version of the hit Disney movie Encanto, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno.”
During Monday’s episode of his show, James sat down with his producers to talk about which Oscar highlight they wanted to discuss.
“We’re not talking about Jada, no, no, no,” the presenter insisted after one of his colleagues attempted to address the infamous slapping incident.
“You saw what happened, we need to talk about something else,” he added sarcastically.
After a producer tried again to cover the shocking moment, James burst into song — hilarious singing: “Will Smith got up off the floor / For the second time that night / Nobody in the room was bored / I know what when.” next is coming, but still / We’re not talking about Jada.”
After the lighthearted sketch, James took a more candid approach, praising Chris for his reaction to the onstage attack.

The Carpool karaoke host told viewers: “Seriously, I applaud Chris Rock for recovering and keeping the show going. It was an incredibly dignified reply. A steel jaw. Incredible.”
Will issued a full apology to Chris on Tuesday, calling his actions “unacceptable and inexcusable” on Sunday night.
“Violence in all its forms is poisonous and destructive. My behavior at the Oscars last night was unacceptable and inexcusable,” the father of three began in his lengthy statement shared online.

“Jokes at my expense are part of the job, but a joke about Jada’s health was too much for me and I reacted emotionally,” he explained.
Will had a problem with that Chris makes a GI Jane joke about his wife’s haircut while presenting an award on Sunday night.
Jada has spoken publicly about her battle with alopecia in the past, but it has been claimed that Chris was unaware of her condition before pulling off the now infamous gag.
“I want to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I’m embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness,” Will continued in his apology to the comedian.
Chris has yet to speak or comment publicly about the incident.
