Jamie Oliver has praised his wife Jools calling her “an absolute superstar” after suffering from Covid that lasted for two years.
The 47-year-old celebrity chef, who rose to fame on the cooking show The Naked Chef, said his children’s clothing designer wife has been “really affected” by the virus.
He told Daily Mail Weekend magazine: “She had bad Covid and Covid so she was really affected by it, sadly.
“She is fine but still not what she wanted. It’s been two years now, she finds it incredibly scary.”
The TV chef explained that they had seen specialist medical professionals but were unable to address her symptoms as the condition was still being investigated.
“We were all over Harley Street like a rash but nobody really knew anything. The long Covid data is still piling up. She is an absolute superstar,” he said.
This month, experts from King’s College London said there appeared to be three “subtypes” of the condition, each with its own symptoms including, fatigue, brain fog, shortness of breath, muscle aches and pains. and heart beat fast.
The couple have been married for 22 years and have five children together.
Talking about his relationship, the TV chef said: “Me and Jools have been together since the age of 18.
“We came to London with nothing but dreams and aspirations. Luckily, we were able to strengthen our relationship before it all started. Then we did it together. It’s interesting.

The couple are parents to Poppy, Daisy, Petal, Buddy and River.
Oliver added: ‘I’m not a teenager yet, but I see teenage girls working hard. I tried to be a proper father, I give myself 9/10 for the effort.
“When they turned 13, you were abandoned. You are on the outside looking in. All you want is a few hugs a day and be appreciated but there’s a lot of chemistry going on.
“You never get kids back after 13, they completely change. Only when you start bringing them back will they go to the university. So it’s like a missing person.”
In 2020, Jools revealed that she had suffered a miscarriage during lip-locking, and the couple had spoken openly in the past about losing “five little stars in the sky”.
