Jamie T will headline his biggest gig of the summer of 2023 at London’s Finsbury Park, it has been announced.
His performance will be a “heroic welcome” for the London-born singer, who broke his five-year hiatus in May.
It comes as the 36-year-old musician, whose real name is Jamie Alexander Treays, has secured the top spot for his first album with his latest release, The Theory Of Anything.
The Finsbury Park performance was announced on Friday by Festival Republic and SJM Concerts, with tickets going on sale at 9am on August 5.
Following the announcement, the musician tweeted: “My first album.
“And to celebrate, we will be playing Finsbury Park next summer. Tickets go on sale next Friday at 9am. “
The announcement also coincides with the 15th anniversary of Jamie T’s Panic Prevention album, released in 2007.
In May, the musician gave an intimate gig at London’s Subterania, preceded by a sensational performance on the John Peel stage in Glastonbury, which was his second first appearance in the tent.
The Finsbury Park show will follow up on a major UK tour, scheduled for late 2022.
The tour lasted 11 days across the country throughout November.
The former Wimbledon-born Jamie T has enjoyed success with her debut album Panic Prevention, which peaked at #4, Kings And Queens, which peaked at #2, Carry On The Grudge in 2014 and the album Trick. 2016.
