Jane Foster Thor joins Marvel’s Avengers as a new playable hero

Crystal Dynamics announced its plans to add Jane Foster: The Mighty Thor Marvel’s Avengers’ List of playable characters. This will be the first new character from Avenger since Spider-Man in November 2021.
Jane, who has appeared in the Thor comics since the early 1960s, will join the game in Update 2.5. In a blog post announcing Jane Foster, the developers say that Jane Foster will make Thor a unique heroine with her own abilities.
“Our hero designs will be primarily driven by their core comic book identities, so her abilities as a co-carrier of Mjolnir will share a lot with those of the Odinson, but she will also have elements that are distinctly Jane. ‘ Square Enix said via a development update.
It’s unclear what the rest of this update will include or when it will be released. However, Square Enix plans to reveal more details about Jane’s role in the future as more Update 2.5 news is released.
Jane’s announcement came along with details about Update 2.4, which is set to be released in May. Update 2.4 focuses on retooling the rotation of the game’s events to keep things “fresh and compelling for replays”. These include more diverse rewards, gear rewards with higher power tiers, and rewards that apply to the entire roster of players rather than just one hero.
Marvel’s Avengers isn’t the only place Jane Foster appears. She will also join the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder, again played by Natalie Portman.
The update seems to target many of the complaints surrounding the game that Crystal Dynamics has been posting to mixed reviews. we reviewed the 2020 game and initially enjoyed the single-player campaign, although the loot-based endgame became boring and repetitive.
