Comedian and presenter Jason Manford has shared details of a nightmare journey with countless interruptions due to inclement weather in the UK.

“Rugby station, can’t hail a taxi, can’t rent a car!
“Arranged with 5 passengers sharing a taxi to London for £70 each. At the time we got the car it was £90 each.
“One woman started crying because she was going to miss her flight home! Give her my space in the cab (cheerfully, we can all cry for love! If only I could muster a tear for Margate!).
“Managed to get a taxi to Northampton (he wouldn’t drive further).
“Had a local Prius to drive the 2hr 45m to Margate- he wouldn’t put the air conditioning on (even if it costs £210!).
