Actress Jennifer Lawrence has spoken about motherhood, saying she feels like “her whole life has started over” the morning after giving birth.
The Hunger Games star, 32, welcomed her son, who she revealed to be Cy, in February.
Speaking in the October issue of American Vogue, the Oscar-winning actress said her son was named after the late American painter Cy Twombly, a favorite of her husband, city art dealer Cooke Maroney. New York City.
Silver Linings Playbook stars Lawrence and Maroney were first linked in 2018 and got engaged the following February.
She told Vogue: “It’s scary talking about motherhood. Just because it’s so different for everyone. If I say, ‘It was great in the beginning’, some people will think, ‘It wasn’t great for me at first’ and feel bad.
“Luckily, I have a lot of girlfriends who are honest who have said, ‘It’s scary. You may not connect immediately. You may not fall in love right away’.
“So I feel very ready to be forgiven.
“I remember going for a walk with one of my best friends at 9 months old, and saying, ‘People always said I would love my baby more than my cat. But that’s not the truth. Maybe I will love him as much as my cat? ‘”.
She told the magazine: “The morning after giving birth, I felt like my whole life had started all over again. Like, now is day one of my life.
“I just stared. I was very in love. I also fell in love with babies everywhere.

“Newborns are amazing. They are tiny pink, swollen, fragile survivors. Now I love all babies. Now I hear a baby crying in the restaurant and I’m like, ‘Awwww, precious’. “
Next, Lawrence will appear in Causeway, directed by Lila Neugebauer, in which she plays a soldier struggling to adjust to his life after returning home to New Orleans.
The Apple TV+ movie stars Lawrence alongside Brian Tyree Henry and is slated to release in November.
