Jennifer Lawrence reflects on ‘terrible’ dates — and why she was the problem

Jennifer Lawrence admitted she’s had a lot of “terrible” dates. But she boiled it all down to one problem: herself.
“I’ve had a lot of horrible dates,” said the ‘No Hard Feelings’ actor “Extra” in a story published Wednesday. “I was usually the reason why it was horrible.”
“Either I was laughing too hard at something or I was just gross, I don’t know,” Lawrence explained before getting to the bottom of the issue.
“I wasn’t very socialized,” she said. “I didn’t go to school, so I was probably the reason it didn’t work out.” (Lawrence has already spoken about this Leaving school at the age of 14 to devote himself to acting.)
Their dating issues eventually resolved when the Passengers star tied the knot with art gallery director Cooke Maroney in 2019.

The two first got together in 2018. Lawrence later recalled that when she and Maroney first met, she “definitely wasn’t at the point where I was like, ‘I’m ready to get married'” — but that quickly changed.
“I just met Cooke and I wanted to marry him. We wanted to marry each other, we wanted to be fully committed,” Lawrence said in Catt Sadler’s “Naked with Catt Sadler“Podcast in 2019.
“He’s my best friend. I want to legally bind him to me forever,” she joked. “And luckily for something like that, there’s the paperwork. You find your favorite person on the planet and you’re like, ‘You can’t go!’ “
Before Lawrence married Maroney, he dated actor Nicholas Hoult, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, and filmmaker Darren Aronofsky, who directed her in the 2017 film Mother!
