Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s minister reveals the couple shared ‘beautiful’ vows during wedding ceremony

The minister married to Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck has revealed how the couple exchanged “beautiful words” in their vows during their recent wedding in Las Vegas.

yan Wolfe, principal pastor at the Grace Christian Center in Las Vegas, discussed the cast’s ceremony at A Little White Wedding Chapel in an interview with People this week and share how Affleck and Lopez “have their own vows they want to share with each other.”

Although Wolfe did not specify what the 51-year-old singer and 49-year-old actor had specifically said to each other, he did say that “they have their own words and they are beautiful words for each other”. He noted that their “love” for each other was evident in the exchange of vows.

“It was an emotional moment they shared with each other,” he explained. “You can definitely see the love they have for each other.”

The minister also recounted that he and his colleague at A Little White Wedding Chapel, Kenosha Booth Portis, saw the couple arrive at the venue around 9pm – just before the space closed. However, he said they didn’t “expect” it to be Lopez and Affleck.

“We locked everything, and they got out and we said, ‘Okay, I guess we can do one more,’” he continued. “So they walked in, and I know Jennifer Lopez, of course. But you don’t expect to see Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez walking through the door every day.”

After “On the floor” singer and Lost Girl When the stars arrived, Wolfe led them to their private rooms to change into their wedding outfits.

For the occasion, Lopez wore two dresses, including a white one she’d owned for years and an off-the-shoulder lace dress by Zuhair Murda. Meanwhile, the groom wears a white tuxedo jacket, bow tie and black pants.

Wolfe explains that when Affleck is changing, he realizes who the actor is and tries not to be “too bad”.

“As I was taking Ben Affleck to the restroom outside the men’s public restroom, he said, ‘No, I don’t need anything fancy. I’m not fancy,” the pastor explained. “I took him out there, and then all of a sudden it hit me. I said, ‘That’s Ben Affleck! It’s Ben Affleck! ‘”

“You don’t want to make them feel uncomfortable so you don’t want to be so nervous and stressed, but it’s hard not to,” he added.

Wolfe said Marry me the star “just wanted a normal wedding” so she walked down the aisle to “Here Comes the Bride.” He described how Lopez had a “flower” in her hand, while Affleck was “wearing a coat over her”.

After the couple said their vows, Wolfe said he “could bless and pray for them” quickly with “literally like an eight-second prayer” before they “exchange rings”.

The wedding was quite private, as the other guests were only Lopez’s 14-year-old daughter, Emme, and one of Affleck’s children.

Lopez shares her 14-year-old twins, Emme and Max, with ex-husband Marc Anthiny, while Affleck shares two daughters, Violet, 16, and Seraphina, 13, and his son, Samuel, 10. , with ex-wife Jennifer Nha ` warehouse.

Although the two children were the only witnesses at the ceremony, the pastor admitted that they were not old enough to be “legitimate witnesses”.

“They have to be 18 years old now to be a legal witness, but I gave their kids permission to sign their memorabilia,” he explains. “So they signed it and I gave it to them. And of course our coordinator, Kenosha, has to be their official witness on the official license. “

However, Wolfe said the children seemed “thrilled” at the end of the ceremony and were “really happy”.

“You can say [the two kids] are also close, have a good relationship, like each other a lot,” he said. “They’re excited and you can tell they’re really happy.”

Wolfe then details how after he “set up [Affleck’s] phone “in the chapel to film the ceremony, the children are in charge of taking pictures, because “there is no professional photographer”.

Though he said the ceremony “lasted” longer than some of the others they’ve done and didn’t end until “after midnight”, the couple “love everything about it”.

“And then, of course, they took a lot of pictures after [Elvis Presley’s] Pink Cadillacs and in the chapel, but only with their phones,” he added. “They were delighted with the ceremony, and they complimented and loved everything about it.”

Wolfe shared his support for the pair, calling them “soul friends” that he believes “will last” and “mean each other”.

In Sunday’s “On JLo” newsletter, Lopez detailed how she had “the best wedding ever.”

“They even have Bluetooth for a (short) parade down the aisle. But in the end it was the best possible wedding we could have imagined,” she wrote. “One that we’ve long dreamed of and one that came true (in the eyes of the authorities, Las Vegas, a pink convertible and another) in the end for a very, very long time.”

The couple first started dating in July 2002 and got engaged in November of that year. After concluding their wedding in September 2003, they announced their separation a few months later.
