TELLY’S Jeremy Clarkson has failed in his attempt to renew his Diddly Squat farming operation.
The former Top Gear host has faced backlash from locals over plans to build a parking lot and cafe near their village.
The Sun columnist, 61, said yesterday at the district council meeting: “It’s the diversification of the agribusiness sector.
“We were asked to diversify, which is exactly the proposition.”
But his personal pleas with the councilors failed because he was denied permission to plan after receiving 53 objections and only 12 letters of support in Chadlington, Oxon.
“The proposed development would have an intrusive and harmful impact on the character of the area,” said planning officer Joan Desmond.
