Jeremy Vine has been shut down by Channel 5 following a ‘significant’ power outage at ITN Productions.
The daily talk show was replaced by reruns of “Million Pound Home” after the mains came on and the backup generator reportedly went out early Monday.
ITN Productions staff received an email at 8.30am saying there had been a “significant power cut” at the building on Gray’s Inn Road, central London.
A 9am update said that if they’re working from home, they “can’t access certain things”.
Employees camped in the building foyer while waiting for the issue to be resolved.
Vine said on Twitter: “I’m sorry to say we didn’t make it to air today.
“Questions are asked about the emergency generator and the emergency generator.
“But nice to get some catching up time with my dear co-host @StormHuntley.”

Earlier in the morning, a hopeful Vine said: “Power outage @ITNProductions so we’re all at reception.
“We hope @JeremyVineOn5 will be with you at 09:15.”
Tests are understood to continue in hopes of power being restored by 11am.
It is not known if the blackout will affect ITV’s midday news.
