Jessie J prays for ‘magic baby to land safely’ after pregnancy announcement

Jessie J said she was blessed with “the greatest gift” after suffering a miscarriage and was told she would “never get pregnant”.

The 34-year-old singer said she was “both happy and scared” when she shared the news that she was pregnant – just over a year after announcing the miscarriage in November 2021.

In a statement on her Instagram story, she told her 12.3 million fans: “I can’t help but think of all the women and men still struggling with loss and infertility. .

“It feels so weird being here after being told I’ll never get pregnant, losing my pregnancy and getting pregnant and how quickly it all happened.

“My mind still hasn’t fully processed that it’s actually happening on some days, that’s why I keep quiet for so long.

“The anxiety was overwhelming at first and I felt like I had closed my eyes just hoping things would continue to go well. Moments that I still have are many while allowing myself to feel the joy and celebration of this experience.”

The singer, who has offered words of encouragement to others who have lost children after she had a miscarriage, said she still wants to “hug whoever is having a hard time”.

She added: “I don’t take this for granted for even a second and continue to pray for this miraculous baby to land safely every day.

“I know I’ve been blessed with the greatest gift I’ve ever received and I pray more than anything you’ll ever receive. However, that seems. Love you.”

On Friday, Jessie J shared a video to Instagram that featured a positive pregnancy test result and a snapshot of her growing bump.

“I am so happy and scared to finally share this… Please be gentle with me,” she captioned the video.

“Honestly, your girl just wants to cry ugly in public in a chocolate-covered pickle-eating catsuit without question.”

Famous faces including Kelly Rowland, Paloma Faith, Michelle Visage and Stacey Solomon responded to the post, congratulating the singer.
