Joe Lycett has created a newspaper front page depicting a future where Grayson Perry has died at the age of 72 after “succumbing to the measles”.
As part of the Channel 4 show Grayson’s Art Club, the comedian painted the cover of The Daily Plop, predicting what the world will be like on April 13, 2032.
The main story told how he was forced to apologize to This Morning presenter Alison Hammond after a court case, but didn’t reveal what was over.
Its headline read Lycett Apology: I Will Pay Damages To Alison Hammond and was subtitled Disgraced Funnyman Appears in Court.
The fake story has been attributed to GB News journalist and presenter Dan Wootton.
A second story on the cover announced the death of program host and Turner Prize winner Perry at the age of 72 from measles.
Upon seeing the painting, Perry, currently 62, joked, “It’s nice to know that when I die, I’ll still be on the front page.”
Perry has owned a teddy bear named Alan Measles since he was a child and calls the toy a “perfect role model”.

A third story, meanwhile, detailed how chefs argue over how to boil the last egg.
In the episode dedicated to The Future, Lycett will also reflect on how art helps him disconnect from his work when it airs Friday.
In a preview clip, he says, “There’s something about freelancing that makes me feel like if I’m not working, I’m wasting my time.
“But there’s something about doing a painting, because I’m a comedian, I feel indulgent that I should be writing jokes instead of making paintings.
“And what I liked about today is that I made a painting and my agent can’t blame me for not writing jokes.”
Grayson and his wife Philippa Perry, a psychotherapist and author, are inviting the public to create their own Queen-themed artwork for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June, with submissions accepted online.
The episode, starring Joe Lycett, airs Friday at 8pm on Channel 4.
