Joe Scarborough mocks Marjorie Taylor Greene with TV sitcom moment

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough asked Monday whether extremist Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.)’s silence about her reported fall from the far-right House Freedom Caucus was “like a scene from ‘Seinfeld.'”

Scarborough referenced the season 2 moment in an episode titled “The Revenge” where George Costanza (played by Jason Alexander) angrily quits his job and berates his boss. Later, realizing he’s doing badly and running out of a new role, he returns to work and just pretends nothing happened.

“She costs the House Freedom Caucus?” I don’t know,” MSNBC political reporter Ali Vitali admitted to Scarborough in a video shared online Mediait.

Greene’s departure from the group reportedly followed a dispute with Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) in the House of Representatives. But the Georgia congresswoman has not confirmed her reported resignation.

It was “one of the most disturbing stories of the last two weeks break,” said Vitali. “It’s like using the fact that not everyone is in the same Capitol complex to prevent something from happening that will eventually happen, which is being kicked out of the House Freedom Caucus.”
