John Barrowman has revealed how he got caught up in a horrific car crash in Berlin where he saw ‘bodies everywhere’

The former Dancing On Ice judge was just meters away when he shared video footage of the scene at Rankestrasse in Charlottenburg.

On Wednesday, John his Twitter followers, he heard a loud noise and saw a car go down the road pass someone before going back to the old way.

And during an appearance on GB News, the 55-year-old American actor told how he witnessed a pedestrian attack in Berlin that left one person dead and at least 30 injured.

John explained that he and her husband Scott had discovered a body on the road on their way to change money at a bank.

“We came out of a store right across from where the incident happened,” he told GB News.

“And at first we thought it was a traffic accident. We saw the car pass through the cafe area and then enter the front window of the store. My husband Scott came to see the incident. I followed him and we saw someone on the ground being dragged away because the door of the Renault Clio was open.

“Obviously the driver was taken out. Then we went down to the bank to change money and that’s when we saw the dead body in the middle of the street. And we realized that something bigger was happening here.

“People up there, you know where the car went through the window, but you don’t know that a person died down there. That’s when we see other people on the ground.”

John said help arrived quickly on the scene.

“Within seconds, the emergency services guys showed up and started treating people,” he said.

“I thought they were dead but they started treating them. One person is put on a stretcher and the others are receiving CPR and treatment.

“It was carnage from what we saw, we were on the road before they brought in the other emergency services and then forced people to leave.”

He added: “I know they are trying to stay away from the word terrorism, but that person was intentionally terrorizing, intentionally targeting them. I know the investigation is ongoing, but we found that we saw what the person did, and there was no such thing as an accident. “

John shared the video of the ‘carnage’ to his Twitter page, where he became increasingly emotional as he explained to his followers what happened before his eyes.

Emotionally speaking with Scott beside him, John said: “We were shocked. I’ve never seen a dead body lying in the middle of the road.

“Who did this, terrible, terrible person. These people just had breakfast at a coffee shop. Bad, bad thing to do.

“Never in my life did I think I was in the middle of a terrorist attack.”

After the crash, a spokesman for the German capital’s fire service told Reuters about 30 people were injured.

They said: “A man is believed to have driven into a group of people.

“It is not yet known if it was an accident or an intentional act,” police said, adding that he was being held at the scene. “

The incident happened near the scene of a deadly attack in 2016 when Anis Amri hijacked a lorry, killed its driver, and plowed into a crowded Christmas market in west Berlin, killing 11 more people and causing thousands of deaths. Dozens of others were injured.
