John Boyega engages in intense and emotional negotiations with the late Michael K Williams in a new trailer for the upcoming movie Breaking.
oyega plays Lance Corporal Brian Brown-Easley, who takes members of the public hostage inside a US bank to gain world media attention.
The film is based on the true story of Brown-Easley and his difficult transition back to civilian life.
When a veteran’s disability check fails, he finds himself on the brink of homelessness and breaks his daughter’s heart.
With no other choice, he walked into Wells Fargo Bank and declared “I have a bomb”.
Williams, who died last September from a drug overdose at the age of 54, plays police officer Eli Bernard.
In the trailer, released on Wednesday, Boyega told Williams: “I need people to see what’s happening here, I need a fire truck, I need a news camera.”
“What do I need to do to get the attention I need right now?” he shouted down the phone.
Williams replied calmly: “We’ll deal with this, brother to brother.”
Captioning the video, which was shared on Twitter, Boyega thanked Williams for “joining us on this journey”.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the ESPY 2022 Awards in Los Angeles, he said it was “unbelievable” to have actors on the project.
He previously revealed that he had asked to work privately with the The Wire star and that Williams brought “good energy” to the film.
Breaking was awarded the jury award for best lead cast at the 2022 Sundance film festival when it premiered at the festival in January.
The cast also includes Nicole Beharie, Connie Britton, Olivia Washington and Selenis Leyva.
The film has yet to be given a release date.
