John Carpenter’s latest gaming gift

I love John Carpenter. How can you not after he gave us everything? There may not be a game that bears his name, but the entire medium is committed to the suspense of the all-time horror classic, The Thing, the insanely over-the-top extravaganza of Escape from LA (and of course Snake Plissken), who has been a staple since his first appearance in Escape from New York in 1981 laid down an early archetype of the digital hero).
Video games are in love with John Carpenter, and he loves her in turn; His passion for playing everything from Sonic Mania to Assassin’s Creed has been well documentedand it’s a bit of a shame he won’t be directing the adaptation of his beloved Dead Space, which he recently inadvertently revealed.
Carpenter recently gave the video game world another little gift, and it might just be one of the best ever. In one of his regular brief reviews of what he’s playing, Carpenter recently gave his verdict on the recent Dead Space remake. “EA’s renovated DEAD SPACE is both exciting and scary,” he wrote. “Great game!’
