John Leslie was “broken” by his string of court appearances, a friend has claimed.
The former Blue Peter and This Morning presenter has appeared in court several times on various charges related to sexual misconduct, with the most recent case coming in 2020 when he faces a jury union after being accused of grabbing a woman’s breasts without consent in 2008. The woman alleged that it happened at a Christmas party in London that December.
After charges were filed in 2017, the case went to court three years later in 2020. It was a week-long trial, and Mr. Leslie was eventually cleared by a jury of the charge he brought him. always vehemently denied.

Mr Leslie has always denied all allegations of sexual misconduct against him, but in a new documentary for Channel 5, titled The Rise and Fall of John Leslie, a friend has explain how the challenges affected him.
At each trial he was found not guilty – but he was never able to get his career back to the way it was before the accusations, all of which happened after Matthew Wright accused Leslie of raping a man. popular TV show host. Although Mr. Wright has apologized repeatedly for his error, with Mr. Leslie denying the allegation and lacking evidence, the story continues to spiral.

Speaking in the new documentary, they discussed how many of Leslie’s celebrity friends have publicly voiced their support for him – including his The Morning co-star Fern Britton and host show Blue Peter, Diane-Louise Jordan.

When Mr. Leslie – whose full name is John Leslie Stott – was found not guilty of sexual assault, Judge Deborah Taylor told him: “Mr Stott, you have left this court for the second time without a blemish. about his personality and I hope it will be the last time you have to attend.”
