Manchester United have officially started the process of recruiting a new head coach for the new season.

The Reds’ director of football, John Murtough, has outlined the club’s clear targets for the rookie, assuring supporters that the “challenge for domestic and European titles” is a constant. top of United’s agenda.

Murtough said in a quarterly club update: “We are currently conducting a thorough process to appoint a new long-term manager to take charge this summer, with the goal of bringing us back to the challenge for domestic and European titles.”

Arnold encouraged United fans to believe the club is capable of creating a “world-class football environment”.

The former team executive at United also revealed that the club’s revenue was up 7.3% year-on-year, largely due to fans returning to Old Trafford.

He has promised supporters will remain a part of United’s decision-making going forward.

“People associate with Manchester United should have faith in the opportunities that lie ahead of us, both on the pitch and in the way we engage with and serve the fans,” Arnold said.

“We have a clear vision and we’re working on a strategy to win with an empowered leadership team to drive that forward.

“We will foster a culture of excellence through a world-class football environment, while strengthening the role of fans at the heart of the club and harnessing the power of Manchester United to create a positive impact on people, the environment and society.

“All of this will be supported by a sustainable operating model that ensures the club is strong for the present and secure for the future.”






Richard Arnold also spoke at Man United’s quarterly update on Tuesday

CFO at United, Cliff Baty, added: “In the second fiscal quarter of 2022, we posted strong revenue growth of 7.3% despite postponing two games in precious do COVID-19.
