Johnny Depp claims Amber Heard hit him on their honeymoon

Johnny Depp testified in court that his ex-wife Amber Heard punched him in the face while they were on their honeymoon in August 2015.

The 58-year-old actor is suing Amber for $50 million in a defamation trial over an article she wrote in the Washington Post in 2018 about domestic abuse.

Earlier, the court was informed about the couple’s honeymoon, which took place on the Oriental Express train from Thailand to Singapore.

Amber accused Johnny of being abusive during that trip, but after he was asked to return to the witness stand, Johnny testified that he was beaten by Amber.

He said that there were some points in the trip that were “just right” but there were other times when Amber would “start the song”.

Johnny said that in one incident, Amber hit him in the face.

He told the court: “At one point… I don’t remember how long it lasted… I took quite a shot in the face, in the eyes… so I got a little light.

“It was all over and then everything was fine again.”

Johnny says he doesn’t remember if Amber apologized for the alleged incident.

The court was then shown a photo of Johnny and Amber with Oriental Express employees, in which the actor was seen with a black eye.

The couple wore evening gowns and stood with three staff members on the famous train.

Johnny told the court: “Mrs. Heard hit me.”

When asked if the photo would accurately represent what he looked like that day, Johnny replied, “It certainly looks like me with dark eyes.”

Johnny told the court the image didn’t look like it had been edited.

While Johnny is suing Amber for $50 million over the Washington Post article, Amber is protesting Johnny $100 million for defamation over comments his lawyer made on MailOnline.

The trial continued.
