Johnny Depp’s defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard took another twist on Monday, when a fan accused the Pirates of the Caribbean star of being the father of her child.

“Johnny, I love you! Our souls are connected,” began the female cheerleader as she stood up with the child.

The unidentified woman then held a child in Virginia’s Fairfax County Courthouse and shouted, “This baby is yours” to the actor.

The strange incident took place during a break and Judge Penney Azcarate left the courtroom, according to Law & Crime.

Proceedings regarding a former lover’s defamation dispute between Mr Depp and Ms Heard continued into a sixth and final week on Monday.

Star Edward Scissorhands, 58, is suing his ex-wife, Heard, 36, for alleged defamation over an article she wrote for The Washington Post in 2018 in which she claimed she was a victim of domestic abuse.

The article did not mention the actor’s name, but Mr Depp argued that by implying that he was an abuser, he had lost his job and was affected financially.
