Johnny Depp fulfills promise that Amber Heard ‘will never see his eyes again’

Johnny Depp is fulfilling a promise he made to Amber Heard that she ‘will never see his eyes again’ after she accused him of being an abuser, a US court has heard.

The Aquaman star again denied that Mr Depp was the victim of their abusive relationship and reiterated that her 2018 article wasn’t about him as she continued to testify on Monday.

Mr Depp is suing Ms Heard over the article she wrote in the Washington Post, which his lawyers wrongly imply he physically and sexually abused her when they were together.

He has denied all allegations.

Mr Depp’s lawyer, Camille Vasquez, opened cross-examination on the third day of Ms Heard’s testimony, saying why the actor refused to make eye contact with the actress in court while she was testifying.

“He promised you you would never see his eyes again,” Ms. Vasquez said.

“He can’t look at me. He can’t,” Ms. Heard replied.

When asked about her allegations that Mr Depp was an abuser, the actress continued, “He’s an abuser … and you can look up any of us online and see who’s being abused.”

Ms Heard later admitted there were no medical records showing she sustained the injuries she was previously believed to have sustained at the hands of Mr Depp, including being injured with a bottle during an incident in Australia in March 2015.

She was quizzed by Ms Vasquez about the lack of visible injuries after several incidents, with jurors being shown red carpet photos, and why she had not yet donated her $7million (£5.7million) divorce settlement to charities.

Ms Heard repeatedly responded that she had “pledged” the money but said she had been unable to meet her obligations due to Mr Depp’s lawsuit.

She also denied that her “new boyfriend,” Tesla founder Elon Musk, paid any part of the severance pay for her.

Ms Heard completed her direct evidence earlier on Monday, saying the only person who believes her op-ed was about Mr Depp is “ironically Johnny”.

“The only one who thought it was about Johnny is Johnny,” she told the court.

“It’s about me, it’s about what happened to me after Johnny … after I got away from my marriage.

“It’s about me and my life and what I had to endure as I moved on with my life. Ironically, the only one who made it over him is Johnny.”

Getting visibly emotional, she added, “I want to move on with my life … I want Johnny to move on.”

She also said she feared she would “literally not survive” her relationship with the actor as violent episodes between them became more normal.

“The monster was now what was normal and not the exception. The violence was now normal and not exceptional,” she said.

“It was so hard, but I knew I had to do it … what if he’d taken it too far if I wasn’t here.”

The actress told the court how she was desperate for a “good night’s sleep” and repeatedly asked members of Mr Depp’s security team not to let him into the property while she was there overnight.

She said her anxiety caused her to lose hair and weight and have regular panic attacks.

Ms Heard also denied involvement in an alleged fecal “prank” that resulted in Mr Depp becoming angry and physically violent.

She said the actor “went delusional” when asked about the incident, which happened in April 2016, just after her 30th birthday.

The court heard Mr Depp discovered feces on a bed at one of his Los Angeles properties and called Ms Heard about the matter.

“I don’t find that funny, I don’t know what a grown woman does. I wasn’t in a prank mood either,” Ms. Heard said.

“My life collapsed. It wasn’t really a comfortable time and I don’t find that funny. Period. That’s disgusting.”

The court heard a suggestion that the faeces came from Mr Depp’s Yorkshire terrier, Boo, who was having “gut control issues” after ingesting some of the actor’s marijuana as a puppy.

Long lines continued to form outside the Fairfax County Circuit Courthouse in Virginia, and some members of the public had queued overnight to get into the courtroom to watch the proceedings.

Mr Depp has already presented evidence and underwent cross-examination, alleging he was a victim of domestic violence during the relationship.
