Assuming I do, that if you’re reading this book, you know Shane MacGowan, and his work as the genius punk poet of The Pogues; a band so powerful and loved that their importance and influence can never be underestimated.
ut, as you can also guess by picking up this book, note the said book title and maybe a few teases for the upcoming book, there’s another side to this great friend. My great, Shane. The other side doesn’t get as much recognition as it should.
Well, that ends here. In the book you’re holding (and hopefully, if you already understand this, buy it).
Now, it’s rare for a creative genius like Shane to have an outlet. Such an explosive talent could have a multitude of grounds for his talent to be able to penetrate the atmosphere and change the climate as we know it.
And so, revealed here, in the pages that follow, is Shane’s penchant for wildness, for absurdity, for politics, for beauty, all of which are summed up. and threaded it through the tip of his pen. But, this time, in this book, not through language tools. Instead, Shane’s eyesight will take the lead. His vision will speak for itself.
Sometimes they will elicit surprise, sometimes they can appear threatening assertiveness, but, whatever the medium, his work will always be poetic – a bit like the great man, and his friend. my great, himself; great artist, Shane MacGowan.
