Jon Trumbull has been promoted to Head of Global Writer & Publisher Relations at Kobalt.

Trumbull was previously Vice President, Writer & Publisher Relations.

Trumbull will lead the global Writer & Publisher Relations team and ensure that Kobalt “continues to provide the best customer service to all of the company’s musicians and publishers,” the company said. .

Trumbull is the second employee of Kobalt’s Writers & Publishers Relations team in the US and has been with the company since 2011.

By that time, the team had grown to more than 30 people globally, with employees in London, Berlin, Stockholm, New York, Miami, Nashville and Los Angeles.

Most recently, as VP, Trumbull oversaw the New York and Nashville offices and the group’s Analytics division, and enhanced Kobalt’s offering with solutions for its clients, Kobalt said.

Trumbull has directed the management of several key Kobalt clients, including Max Martin & MXM, Dave Grohl, Nine Inch Nails, Paul McCartney & MPL, and Kobalt Capital funds.
