Mourinho’s side are participating in this season’s UEFA Europa Conference League but have not participated this week as they have secured their place in the tournament’s round of 16.
Roma won their group despite some less convincing performances including a humiliating 6-1 defeat to Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt – the worst defeat of Mourinho’s career.
However, the Italian side were one point behind the Norwegian champions at the top of the table, meaning they didn’t have to play in the playoffs to claim a spot in the knockout stages.
Mourinho claims that he no longer watches many big matches in which his team does not participate, although he has commented on matches in Paris and Milan.

The Portuguese boss was not as impressed as the match in Paris, in which Lionel Messi Missed a penalty for the home side but Kylian Mbappe scored the winning goal in the last minute.
Inter – Mourinho’s former club, with whom he won the competition in 2010 – have come out on top in the long run against LiverpoolBut goals from Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah brought a two-goal win for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
Mourinho insists he has no regrets about leaving Europe’s top team.
“I’m honored, I’ve been in charge of more than 150 Champions League matches, so I have no complaints about us playing in the Conference League,” Mourinho insisted at Friday’s press conference.
“I don’t feel nostalgic, I didn’t watch the big games.
“I didn’t like the match between PSG and Real Madrid.
“I think the game between Inter and Liverpool was very good.”
Mourinho also commented on Tammy Abraham’s progress in the Italian capital having joined since Chelsea last summer.
Abraham has scored 18 goals in 33 appearances for the Giallorossi, but Mourinho insists the England international is much more than that.
“He is doing well but can do better,” added Mourinho.
“The team needs him to do better. He is a foreign player used to a different kind of football. It’s not easy to leave England, but he’s doing well but I believe he has the potential to do more.”
Roma are currently languishing in 7th place in Serie A and out of European football next season.
