But the New Zealander will shelve his ambitions of becoming a two-time heavyweight champion if it means he has to take on his good friend.

In an appearance on talkSPORT, he said: “We have a great relationship.

“He treats me like a younger brother, his whole family takes care of me.

“I’m living in Morecambe now. I’m in his house, I’m using his gym.

“I think I’ll never fight him. I’ll let him do his thing and fight the others.”

Parker, 30, wants to fight for another belt if his chance to fight Fury for the WBC belt comes true.

“I’ll try to take a different path and do my best to win other belts if I can,” he said.
