Joss Stone said she “definitely plans” to have more children despite going through a difficult delivery with her second child when her uterus split.
The 35-year-old singer underwent an emergency cesarean section giving birth to son Shackleton, her second child with partner Cody DaLuz.
Stone said doctors had told her she could have another child but she would not be able to “have a natural birth”.
The couple also share daughter Violet, who could be considering adoption.
Stone said Hello! magazine: “I definitely want more children.
“The doctor said I could have another baby but definitely couldn’t have a natural birth because the uterus was split.
“I always wanted to adopt and Cody was adopted so he wanted to adopt as well.
“We’ll see, but I want as many children as possible.”
The soul singer who grew up in Devon also announced her family would be moving back to the UK from Nashville.

She said: “I think we will be sharing a house at the end of next year because I need to arrange Violet’s studies. My mom was like ‘You have to get on with it’.
“In my dreams, I wanted us to settle down in Devon near our family and build some roots.
“I had a lovely upbringing there and I want to dedicate that to Violet and Shack; somewhere they can learn to ride horses, grow vegetables and climb trees.
“I think Cody is excited to come to the UK and see what it’s like.
“He will love it. But otherwise we can always come back.”
