Junior Andre achieves success when debut single goes viral even though it hasn’t been released yet

Junior Andre teases new music as he records from the studio

Little Andre looks to be imitating his famous father with his unreleased debut song that has gone viral.

The 16-year-old is following in his father Peter’s footsteps by breaking into music and he gave fans a preview of his first hit Slide earlier this month.

Posting a video on TikTok, Peter Andre and Katie Price’s oldest child is seen imitating and dancing to his new tune while the studio plays his vocals in the background.

His first clip on the video-focused social media platform has had more than 847,000 views, while another video of Junior singing the hit has broken the one-million-view barrier.

The first 31-second video – captioned: “We’re cooking a little something” – brought praise from rapper Lady Leshurr, who commented, “Give it to the dem”, along with the following: a clapping emoji. Peter also wrote: “Son is wonderful”.

Fans also cheered for the soundtrack, with one user commenting: “I think we need to blow this up completely and get him to number one on the radio! This is unreal.”

Another said: “I want it on Spotify already!!”

A third wrote: “I’ll have to hear it on repeat over the summer.”

Junior, who is signed to a record deal with Columbia Records, has only posted 5 videos on TikTok but has over 245,500 followers and over 270,000 likes on his personal page at the time of writing.

Meanwhile, his 49-year-old dad has more than 728,600 fans and almost 4 million likes on his account, however time is on Junior’s side.

Peter, who has three UK number one hits with Flava, I Feel You and Mysterious Girl, is managing his teenage son and talks about wanting “freedom” but making sure he’s going Right guide to success.

Speaking on Lorraine with presenter Christine Lampard last month, he said: “I took him to the set and he went inside the booth and everyone was like ‘oh!’ And I said “look, let’s focus on him right now”.

“I’m managing him in the sense that I’m with him all the way. We wanted to give him artistic freedom.

“It made me proud and also scared, at 16 that’s what I wanted, my parents were scared and I had to prove to them that I would be fine.”
