GMA: Hailey Bieber updates on Justin’s husband’s facial paralysis

Justin Bieber has been forced to postpone the remaining US leg of his justice world tour as he continues to battle Ramsay Hunt syndrome.

The pop star, 28, revealed in a shocking video last week his lingering facial paralysis and released a follow-up statement on Thursday explaining the latest developments.

He posted the statement and said it was released “with a heavy heart”. It read: “Amid Justin’s recovery, the remaining US Justice Tour shows scheduled for June and early July will be postponed.

“Justin continues to receive the best medical care possible, regarding his recovery, and looks forward to getting back on the road and performing for his fans overseas later this summer. .”

The statement ended by saying that further details on any rescheduling schedules would be announced shortly.

It comes after the What Do You Mean singer revealed about his condition and showed his followers that he couldn’t move half of his face.

Ramsay Hunt syndrome (RHS) is caused by viral reactivation and is one of the 60 causes of facial paralysis, or facial paralysis as known in the United States.

He said in his video: “Hi everyone. It’s Justin. I wanted to update you on what’s going on. Obviously you can see from my face I have this syndrome. It’s called Ramsay Hunt syndrome, and it’s from this that the virus attacks the nerves in my ear and my facial nerves and makes my face numb.

“As you can see, this eye doesn’t blink,” he continued before blinking the other. “I can’t laugh on this side, this nostril won’t move, so this side is completely numb.”

He also addressed those who might be frustrated by his postponed gig but insisted there was simply nothing he could do because he couldn’t.

He concluded by saying, “My body is telling me I have to slow down and I hope you guys understand and I’m going to use this time to rest, relax and get back to 100%. I can do what I was born to do.”

Earlier in the week, Justin’s wife, Hailey Bieber, told America’s Good Morning America program that he was “better day by day”.
