Kanye West gushes about the pain of divorce as he faces his future without soon-to-be ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
The 44-year-old rap sensation split from 41-year-old Kim last year – and seven years after they tied the knot in a lavish Italian wedding ceremony complete with gold toilets.
In recent weeks, however, Kanye has shown signs he’s struggling with the prospect of a future without Kim as his wife, and has repeatedly attacked the reality star and her boyfriend, 28, Pete Davidson, all while lashing out at the same time longs that he will win her back.
Now, 48 hours after Kim was declared “legally single” by a judge and after deleting the name “West” from her social media names, Kanye has shared what looks like a poem about divorce and how he feels about it.
The musician took to Instagram on Friday and shared a post with the word “divorce” written in giant red letters.
Among them were words that compared divorce to a host of other feelings, injuries and illnesses – with the rapper likening the end of a marriage to “full blown Covid”.
He also likened the process to “walking on glass,” “running through a glass wall,” and “your hand was burned on the stove.”
Other lines hinted at his true feelings about his collapsed marriage to Kim – with whom he shares four children; eight-year-old daughter North, six-year-old son Saint, four-year-old daughter Chicago and two-year-old son Psalm.
Kanye wrote: “Divorce feels like your kids are out of your control/divorce feels like you’ve been shot and traffic is slow/divorce feels like heavy breathing.
“Divorce feels like grandma never got over that cold / Divorce feels like choking / Barely breathing.”
PageSix reports, “It’s unclear if West wrote the lyrics himself or if they’re perhaps part of a new music project he plans to release.”
Kim was declared legally single by a US court on Wednesday following the final hearing in her and Kanye’s divorce case.
The star, who appeared before officials via video link, had applied to be declared single last December.
And the request to change her marital status was granted before the details of child custody and ownership are worked out.
Fans noted that Kim quickly changed her name from “Kim Kardashian-West” back to “Kim Kardashian” on social media after the proposal.
While subsequent reports have suggested that when it comes to child custody, Kim and Kanye will have an “open door” policy, where either parent can have access to their children at any time.
