Kate Garraway was left disappointed today when her Good Morning Britain colleagues pulled an April Fools’ joke at her.
Today’s presenter was gearing up for a gig with her friend Ben Shephard and in the entertainment with Vick Hope, the executive board was busy discussing last night’s premiere of The Lost City in London.
The Lost City stars Sandra Bullock, Daniel Radcliffe and Channing Tatum among others, and the stars gathered forces last night on the green carpet for the upcoming film’s celebration.
Discussions on Good Morning Britain quickly turned to a specific scene with Magic Mike star Channing Tatum, who was very well explained by Ben, who very clearly explained the scene Sandra was discussing during her interview. .
During their red carpet conversation, Sandra explained it wasn’t unusual to do intimate scenes with Channing, as she insisted they were both focused on making sure each other felt comfortable in that particular scene.
The conversation in the studio quickly turned to Magic Mike, Channing’s film about male strippers, as the hit music from the film played and the studio flashed their lights.
Then Vick teased that an unexpected guest entered the set – none other than Channing Tatum.
Kate was shocked and she quickly sorted her hair and got ready to welcome Channing to the show – but it all turned out to be a complicated joke by the team, leaving Kate’s heart racing.
When Ben talked about the April Fools’ joke, he admitted he even nearly fell over the team’s elaborate joke.
In addition to her current duties on Good Morning Britain, Kate is also a full-time carer for her husband, Derek Draper, who is suffering from prolonged Covid after contracting the virus in early 2020.
Giving a recent update on Derek’s health, she shared: “It’s clear he’s still being hit hard by Covid, and it’s certainly affected the brain-muscle connections. his body.
“I don’t know about mental health if I’m being completely honest, because he’s still affected in terms of communication and mobility to the point where I don’t feel qualified to say if it’s affected. depression and anxiety or not.” “
She added: “I mean I have to think so, because if you’re still not able to communicate and it’s very difficult in terms of motor wisdom, lungs and all the other things, that’s going to take a toll. Isn’t it interesting that now finally … everything is focused on the lungs, and then people understand that there is fatigue, anyway this is really a neurological problem, and now more and more there’s more we realize the broader impact.”
