Kate Lawler has spoken candidly about her relationship with fiancé Martin as the couple prepare to wed in seven weeks.
The radio presenter and her partner welcomed their first child – daughter Noa – 14 months ago and the Big Brother winner, 41, says they went through a rough patch that left her “in the worst possible place”.
Kate has been honest with her fans as she has explained that since they have had Noa they have not made their relationship a priority.
But Kate admitted her love life has improved drastically since leaving her job at Virgin Radio just a week ago.

Speaking on her White Wine Question Time podcast, Kate revealed: “Since we became parents, our relationship has changed so much. I want to say for the better, but unfortunately we both know and we’re very aware that we haven’t prioritized our relationship at all and we know we need to take steps to improve it.
“We’re getting married in two months and we’ve had our toughest year as a couple so far.
“But we know it’s because we’ve become parents and becoming parents changes your life monumentally.”
She continued, “I wasn’t prepared for the seismic shift in our relationship. I thought it would change my life, personally, but I didn’t think about how much it would affect us as a couple, although I had friends who gave me some advice, “Look, you’re both going to say things that you don’t mean it, you’ll both be more tired than ever”.

“We went out for curry the other night because I pointed out that we’ve only gone out alone twice since Noa was born a year ago. That’s not good enough.
“I don’t want to put on makeup and find something to wear. I want to sit in my pajamas and read a book.”
She concluded, “We were only heading to our wedding anniversary in June, four months after Noa was born … and we spent most of the time looking at the monitor and being like, ‘Ooh, is she alright?’. His mom was babysitting. So last week was great.
“We talk, we communicate. We can just get along better with each other.”
