Kate Middleton ‘in tears’ on wedding day after Prince Harry’s unexpected comment

Kate Middleton married Prince William in April 2011 in a beautiful ceremony at Westminster Abbey, with the groom’s brother Prince Harry as his best man – and one of his comments follows the ceremony brought Kate to tears.

It may have been a grand wedding with nearly 2,000 guests arriving at Westminster Abbey for the ceremony, but the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge managed to make the historic day a very personal one.
Kate has her younger sister Pippa as her bridesmaid while Prince William chooses his younger brother Prince Harry as his best man.
Harry kept up the best man tradition by speaking at the wedding reception – and according to many guests it was the highlight of the big day, even if he did make Kate cry.
Royal author Katie Nicholl gave an insight into the tearful speech in her biography Harry: Life, Loss and Love.

She said: “It was emotional, warm and funny and touched William deeply.
“The speech was mixed with Harry’s classic sense of humour, and he wowed his brother: ‘William didn’t have any romance in his body before he met Kate, so I know it’s serious. when William suddenly started cooing with the phone at Kate’.
“Famous for his ability to imitate, Harry later impersonated his brother calling Kate ‘Babykins’, to much laughter from the guests.

“When he said the couple’s decades-long romance was his inspiration, Chelsy had a sheepish grin, while Kate shed tears.”
Kate and brother-in-law Harry previously had a fun relationship – he even described Kate as “the sister he never had” and the pair are often seen giggling or sharing a joke. joke at royal events.
But according to royal expert Duncan Larcombe, Harry and Kate’s sibling-like relationship is now “in the past”.
It comes amid the growing feud between William and Harry and the fact that Harry and his wife Meghan Markle decided to give up their royal status and leave the UK for California.
And speaking earlier this year as Kate approached her 40th birthday, Duncan told OK!: “Like Harry said, Kate is the sister he never had and that’s clearly not the case anymore.
“There was a time when Harry was instrumental in any celebration or any fun the couple were having, but those days are long gone.”
