Kate Moss takes my young daughter Lila to the Met Gala – and she’s a chip off the old block

Lila Moss made a strong impression on her debut at this year’s Met Gala, when she stepped on the red carpet with her mother and veteran beauty of the event Kate Moss.

Lila, 19, sported a Burberry nude, with a gorgeous dress studded with diamonds and a bodysuit underneath.

Meanwhile, mother Kate, 48, opted for a black tuxedo dress, clutch and simple diamond necklace.

While Lila has grown up all over the fashion world, this is her first red carpet appearance at the Met Gala.

This month also saw Lila on the cover of British Vogue for the May 2022 issue.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Benefit, or the Met Gala for short, is considered by many to be the most prestigious event on the fashion calendar.

The biggest fashion event of the year is usually held on the first Monday in May, and aims to raise money for the Costume Institute in New York City.

Last year’s gala dinner was rescheduled to September to explain the coronavirus pandemic.

This year’s Met Gala’s dress code is “gilded glamour,” possibly referencing America’s Gilded Age, the period from 1870 to 1900.

It goes with the theme of ‘In America: An Anthology of Fashion’, a continuation of the theme from ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.’

Tickets to fashion’s biggest night of the year are rumored to cost upwards of $35,000 each, with table reservations for guests ranging from $200,000 to $300,000.

Last year’s gala raised an impressive $16.4 million for the Met’s Costume Institute.

This year’s hosts are Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Regina King.

They are taking over from Timothée Chalamet, Billie Eilish, Amanda Gorman and Naomi Osaka.

Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour took over as gala supervisor, a role she’s held since 1995.
