Katie Piper’s daughter doesn’t want to kiss good night after surgery

EX-MODEL Katie Piper says her eldest daughter doesn’t want her mother to kiss her good night because she looks “scary”.

Katie – who underwent 300 operations following an acid attack in 2008 – revealed she cried after 7-year-old Belle said she was scared because of her.

But Katie, 38, who also has daughter Penelope, four, says it’s “normal”.

She added: “I was pretty upset when I had to have eye surgery and my eldest brother said, ‘I really don’t want you to kiss me good night, I think you’re scary’.

“And of course, I cried a little bit in the bathroom because I was like ‘oh my god, this is where we are.’

“But actually, I have to allow her to feel that way because it’s normal.

“If she wasn’t allowed to feel that way, I would cause a ton of problems.

“I’ve always wanted to have that open dialogue and be able to talk about it.”

Katie and her husband Richard Sutton are parents to two girls.
