Katie Price announces new mental health documentary

A NEW date has been announced for a documentary in which Katie Price will speak candidly about her struggles with her mental health and PTSD.

In the new Channel 4 documentary Katie Price: Trauma and Me, the former Brighton glamor model will speak candidly about what pushed her to the absolute breaking point and explore how she’s preventing a return to those dark days.

The show will air on October 10, to coincide with World Mental Health Day, with Katie speaking about her year on drugs and alcohol which saw her in a car accident near her Sussex home in September.

She narrowly escaped jail time after the drink-driving accident, was sentenced to a 16-week suspended sentence and was sentenced to 100 hours of unpaid community service.

The documentary was due to air September 8 but was postponed following the death of Her Majesty the Queen.

Last month, the 44-year-old revealed she was raped at gunpoint in a 2018 carjacking in South Africa.

She told journalists: “When I was filming with ITV in South Africa, we didn’t have any security. If we had security, they would have been able to deal with the six guys who attacked us, held me at gunpoint and raped me.”
