Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber got IV drips together during a trip to Miami on the latest episode of The Kardashians.
Models were seen receiving IV NAD therapy, a type of intravenous treatment that can stimulate cell regeneration in the body, as Kendall shared about her struggle to recover from Covid-19 .
When the vitamin drops were held and Hailey and Kendall were injected while lounging on the sofa, Kendall told the Hulu camera that the pair considered it “a really fun day.”
“I’ve been a hypocrite all my life, so I’m obsessed with health right now,” she said. It’s my number one priority – to the point that I’m eating it alive when I think about my health. ”
Kendal explained that while she hasn’t had a particularly bad coronavirus infection, saying she’s “quite lucky,” she says her recovery has been tough.
“It’s so weird. I’m two months old now and I still don’t feel good. I just feel weird,” she told her friends at the lavish Miami party.
Kendall told the cameras: “Things like this put me at ease. They help because it just makes me happy and I don’t want anyone to judge me.”
Longtime friend Hailey jokingly asked medical technicians how often they could continue IV therapy, saying: “I will have NAD for the rest of my life and I will never grow old.”
“I feel like we’re really big on our wellness journey,” as Hailey replied, “It made for a great friendship,” says Kendall.
But viewers of The Kardashians were baffled by the scene and took to Twitter to respond to the controversial scenes, with one post: “Nah cuz Kendall…with IV bags….”
Another tweeted: “If my friend is like ‘hey, would you like to come and get an IV drip for our health’,” I would laugh and hang up. That is some meaningless rich people. ”
A third person posted: “Kendall, I’m sorry but this is not a plot.”
Meanwhile, another Hulu viewer joked: “When you hear Kendall say she’s super healthy and wish to be like her… rather than go get the chocolate.”
Vitamin drop clinics with their vitamin and mineral pouch cocktails advertise a number of health benefits including boosting immunity, digestion, the health of your skin and hair, and cure hangover.
But there are certainly risks involved, as Kendall was hospitalized in 2018 after a bad reaction to a cocktail of Myers IV drip, which is made up of a solution of salt, magnesium, calcium, B vitamins and vitamins. C.
The rise of vitamin drops prompted Professor Stephen Powis of NHS England to warn the public about the potential dangers posed by them in 2019.
“Healthy people do not need intravenous infusions,” he said. At best they’re an expensive way to fill your bladder — and then flush hundreds of pounds down the toilet — but at worst they can cause significant damage to your health.”
