After his latest destructive win, Makhachev jumped to #5 in the UFC’s official 155-pound rankings.

However, Makhachev has yet to face a boxer as decorated as dos Anjos.

RDA defeated Paul Felder in his final teamfight. He’s won his résumé against the likes of Nate Diaz, Anthony Pettis and Robbie Lawler, and he’s caged stars like Kamaru Usman, Colby Covington, Tony Ferguson, etc.

According to dos Anjos on Wednesday, he will be the boxer to get the next crack at Makhachev 20-1, and that will give the veteran a big chance to win against the undefeated Nurmagomedov.

If the RDA defeats Makhachev, Nurmagomedov will retire to fight another battle.

If RDA loses, and that is probably what Nurmagomedov is betting will happen if he agrees to return to the conditions RDA posted, he will be the biggest name on Makhachev’s record to date. .
