Kim Kardashian married Kris Humphries in August 2011, but the couple’s union was short-lived when the Keeping Up with the Kardashian star filed for divorce in October of that same year.

Kim Kardashian has been criticized for comparing her 72-day marriage to the struggles of a teenage cancer patient.

The 41-year-old reality TV star and founder of SKIMS made headlines this week after sharing “advice” for business women in an interview with Variety.

In August 2011, Kim married Kris in a lavish ceremony, but just 72 days later, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star filed for divorce.

In an interview explored with Guardians in 2012, Kim discussed the “lessons she learned” from her doomed union, and said she spoke to an 18-year-old girl diagnosed with cancer.

“I think, with any decision in life, like today I was talking to a girl with cancer and we were talking about how difficult this was for her. but it taught her a big lesson about her friends and a lot about life,” explained Kim.

“She’s 18. And I felt like that, that’s how I feel.”

Angry fans on Reddit shared her comment on a thread on Thursday and shared their frustration at Kim’s “lack of consciousness.”

“What’s in f**k?” one person is fired.

“Reminds me of her commenting on Britney’s role as protector. Everything doesn’t have to be about you. How can these people be proud without being self-aware? ‘ said another.

“As if she couldn’t get any worse, she tried to do so. I’d love to see how her heads try to defend this,” one added.

Another said: “Tonal deafness has happened many times.

Kim was recently criticized for her comments about business success, and in a video for her interview with Variety – alongside sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian, as well as mother Kris Jenner – she gave her “best advice” for women to be successful.

“Put your f**king a** up and get to work. It seems like no one wants to work these days. You have to surround yourself with people who want to work,” she fired.

“There is a good work environment where people love what they do because you have a life. No toxic work environment, just show up and get to work,” added Kim.
