Kim Kardashian stuns in iconic Marilyn Monroe dress

Kim Kardashian has been exposed for damaging Marilyn Monroe’s iconic dress despite reports claiming otherwise.

The reality TV star stunned the world by rocking out at this year’s Met Gala in a historic gown, but the company she lent the outfit to has insisted she didn’t cause any damage.

Earlier in the week, a social media post claimed she damaged a $4.8 million dress during her brief show.

The post shows a before and after moment, in which some of the jewelry appears to be missing and the zip looks stretched.

But Ripley’s Museum has defended the SKIMS founder, saying the dress was returned in its original condition.

A company representative told TMZ: “A report written about the condition of the dress in early 2017 said, ‘some seams were pulled and frayed. hooks and eyes, ‘among other cases of damage. “

They went on to say that since the company purchased the dress, it has been displayed in multiple locations across the globe so it could break at any time.

Amanda Joiner, Ripley’s VP of Publication and Licensing, was with Kim and the dress throughout the day of the Met Gala and added: “From the bottom of the Met steps, where Kim wore the dress, to the top where it was. returned, the dress is in its original condition.”

After the first speculations surfaced, Kim stepped out to fight her corner so she would be happy when the company has her back.

A source close to the star immediately denied the allegations at the time, saying DailyMail.com that the pictures are ‘inaccurate’ and the claims are ‘totally untrue’.

Insiders claim that the famous dress showed signs of wear before Ripley’s purchase because they noted that Kim only wore the dress for less than 15 minutes while walking the red carpet.

Kim famously admitted she had to lose 16 pounds to be able to wear the historic dress.

To do so, she followed a strict diet with no sugar and carbohydrates, while running on a treadmill and wearing a sauna twice a day.

Ahead of the celebration, the reality TV star told Vogue: “I have the utmost respect for the dress and its significance to American history.

“I would never want to sit in it or eat in it or take any risk of any damage to it and I wouldn’t put on my body makeup like I usually do.”
