Kim Kardashian has said she is “reassessing her relationship” with Balenciaga, following backlash online from a recent campaign by the fashion house.
The reality TV star, 42, said she was “moved by the disturbing images” used in the campaign, which included two children holding teddy bears wearing tight clothing.
The images that surfaced a few days ago have since been taken down by Balenciaga, with the company apologizing for the offense caused in its own Instagram story post.
The ads appear to show two young girls, both hugging stuffed animals dressed in leather and mesh, surrounded by a variety of other items.
A photo also shows what appears to be an excerpt from “disturbing” US Supreme Court documents.
Kardashian said she’s kept quiet in the days since the campaign was first posted online because she wanted to talk to the brand to “understand for herself how this could happen.”
“I’ve been quiet for the past few days, not because I don’t feel disgusted and indignant at Balenciaga’s recent campaigns, but because I wanted the opportunity to speak with their team so I could understand what was going on. How could this happen,” she said. wrote online.

Kardashian and ex-partner Kanye West are known for their connection to Balenciaga, and she recently attended the brand’s first high-fashion show in Paris with the brand, describing it as “a dream come true.” real”.

In her own Instagram story, Balenciaga wrote: “We sincerely apologize for any offense our holiday campaign may have caused.

Seemingly referring to document excerpts, it added: “We apologize for displaying disturbing materials during our campaign.
“We take this matter very seriously and are taking legal action against the parties responsible for creating the set of photos and including unapproved items for our Spring 23 campaign photo shoot.
“We strongly condemn child abuse in any form. We represent the safety and well-being of children.”
