The Poosh founder, who tied the knot on Sunday after attending the Grammy Awards together with Barker – without a marriage license – in Las Vegas, Nevada, reflected on the development of their relationship from longtime friends while speaking with Robin Roberts .

When asked by Roberts about her relationship with the Blink 182 drummer, Kardashian admitted it was “funny” to think about since the couple started out as friends.

“It’s so funny when we think about it being us. Can you believe it? We’re Kourtney and Travis who are friends,” said the Keeping Up With The Kardashians graduate.

However, according to Kardashian, she always knew that if she and Barker made their relationship “physical,” they could become more than just friends.

“Deep down, I felt like if we looked into each other’s eyes and did it physically, it would just be over,” she admitted.

The reality star’s admission comes after she shared photos to Instagram from her wedding ceremony to Barker on Wednesday, in which she and the musician were smiling at the chapel in Las Vegas, where their mock nuptials were performed by an Elvis impersonator.

“Found these in my camera roll,” Kardashian captioned the photo album. “Once upon a time in a country far, far away (Las Vegas) at 2am, after an epic night out and a little tequila, a queen and her handsome king with an Elvis ventured into the only open chapel and got married (to No license). Practice creates masters.”

Kardashian’s sister Khloe also shared her praise for the couple during the interview with Roberts, with the Good American founder telling the Good Morning America host that she thinks “Kourt and Trav are in an amazing place.”

Khloe Kardashian has been candid about her relationship with Tristan Thompson and why she chose to let him into the delivery room when she gave birth to her daughter True, despite his infidelity.

The Good American founder was asked about Thompson, who she dated on and off for years, and who recently confirmed he’d fathered another child with another woman while speaking to Robin Roberts.

“I felt incredibly secure with Tristan at first,” Kardashian said of their relationship, which began in 2016. “I felt really good for a while.”

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians alum then recalled when Thompson cheated on her just before her daughter was born in 2018, with the reality star revealing that she decided to let him into the delivery room because she wanted that the home videos “as pure and perfect as I could make them” for her daughter.

“I remember when he cheated on me just before the birth and I could still have him in the delivery room, and so, yeah, it might have looked weird to the outside world, but when my daughter watches my home videos of it, those videos will.” to be as pure and perfect as I could make them,” she shared.

Regarding the relationship the former couple has now, Kardashian told Roberts that she still thinks “he’s a great guy and a great dad,” but that he’s “just not the guy for me.”

When asked what Kardashian and her sisters are “looking for,” the reality star told the Good Morning America host, “I think at the end of the day, we’re all just looking for happiness. We want to be happy and feel safe.”

Kardashian’s comments come after Thompson confirmed in January this year that he is the father of a son with Maralee Nichols after the fitness trainer filed a paternity suit against the basketball star.

At the time, Thompson publicly apologized to Kardashian for the “heartbreak and humiliation” he had caused her over the course of their relationship.

“Khloe, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I’ve caused you. You don’t deserve the way I’ve treated you all these years. My actions are certainly not consistent with the way I see you,” he wrote.

While speaking to Variety in March, Kardashian conceded that it’s “not fun” to talk about Thompson, but acknowledged that it’s “part of my life journey,” confirming that viewers are taking their relationship to the new side the famous family will see reality show.
