Kiss radio host Tyler West has been announced as the latest celebrity to join the serious lineup of Dance Come Dancing.
The 26-year-old presenter, who has previously appeared on CBBC, said he can’t wait to “shake his feet” on the show’s famous ballroom floor.
He is the seventh confirmed name for the upcoming series, following Olympic swimming gold medalist Ellie Simmonds, comedian and actor Jayde Adams, actors Will Mellor and Kym Marsh of Coronation Street, the star Kaye Adams of Loose Women and Richie Anderson of Radio 2.
After the news was announced on Kiss Breakfast with Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely, West said: “I’m so excited to be joining the Serious family. When I started writing this article, I had cramps.
“It will be an amazingly crazy journey that will definitely be out of my comfort zone.
“It’s a show that means a lot to me and my family and I can’t wait to get some serious footwork on that shiny dance floor…with sequins on one side.”
West hosts weekday afternoons on Kiss, where he was nominated for the Radio and Sound Industry Award for Best New Presenter 2020.
He began his broadcasting career in children’s television, presenting for CBBC and also hosting MTV News, HQ Trivia and the red carpet live show for Baftas 2020.
Before that, he played handball and represented the GB national team from an early age.
The final series of Strict was won by Rose Ayling-Ellis with professional partner Giovanni Pernice.
