Kit Harington announces his wife Rose Leslie is expecting their second child

Kit Harington said his wife Rose Leslie is pregnant with their second child and admitted he was “scared”.

English actor Harington and Scottish actress Leslie, 35, met while co-starring on HBO’s sprawling fantasy series Game Of Thrones, which ended in 2019 after eight seasons.

The couple married at Leslie’s ancestral home in Aberdeenshire in 2018 before announcing the birth of their son in February 2021.

Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in the US, Harington said of his two-year-old son, “We think he could be pretty smart. It’s surprising, since we’re both actors, we don’t know exactly where that came from.

“He loves applause, every time he does something good we give him a round of applause and we’re afraid it kind of pushes him into acting.

“We’re kind of like, ‘You might be too smart for this, go save the world, we’re fat, we didn’t have a choice.'”

Harington, 36, added: “He’s about to have the shock of his life which is that he’s about to have a brother or sister. I’m scared.

“With the first baby you walk on clouds and dance through fields of daisies for nine months, well, the man anyway.

“But this time the reality check comes much earlier, you get practical very quickly.

“I’m not sure if he got it conceptually yet. We’re trying to prepare him for that, we’re pointing at Rose’s tummy and saying ‘Mama’s Baby’ and he’s pointing at his tummy and saying ‘my baby’.”

Harington played Jon Snow in Game of Thrones while Leslie played Ygritte.
