Kjetil Knutsen responds to talk about the Brighton job

A manager linked with the Albion job has downplayed talk of a move – because he has “his head in a pressure cooker” at his current club.

Bodo/Glimt boss Kjetil Knutsen is among the trainers who could reportedly be a candidate to succeed Graham Potter at Amex.

He is currently stuck with his club in the Norwegian league and the Europa League.

Knutsen, 53, said all other matters are in the hands of his agent.

He added: “I’ve got my head in a pressure cooker and things outside of Bodo/Glimt don’t interest me at all.

“I don’t want inquiries and I don’t answer calls. I’m just 100 percent focused on Bodo/Glimt.

“Even people close to me are asking if something is happening. The answer is that I don’t have any answers because I only focus on what’s here.”

Bodo/Glimt welcomes FC Zurich tomorrow.
