Kojima’s next game will blur the lines between vehicles

Destructoid report in an interview Hideo Kojima did with the Japanese game magazine Famitsu for the new year. In it, he talks about Kojima Productions’ next project, which he describes as a game that will blur the lines between mediums just as the industry is gearing up to do the same very soon.
Selection quote from the interview here:
“A big title and a title is a new challenge. As the boundaries of entertainment disappear in the near future, I wanted to make this year one where we took a step forward to challenge different mediums and expressions. “
It is a well-known fact that Kojima loves cinema and wants to make them one day, so one has to wonder if this new project is a sneaky way of bringing cinema into his game in the sense of black or not. Maybe it’s the rumored horror game he’s been wanting to make. Or it could be something completely out of the left field like Death Stranding. Either way, mixed media is an interesting direction for whatever Kojima has planned next. Hopefully we’ll see what it is soon and how challenging it will be to evolve.
Kojima’s most recent release is Director cut of Death Stranding, which embodies all that is beyond his glory perfectly and imperfectly. There are also rumors about Death Stranding 2 are negotiating. Anyone can guess if this is the next project of Kojima Productions or not. Whatever it is, let’s hope that the real Kojima understand what it is, unlike Death Stranding.
