Kourtney Kardashian reveals details of her Vegas wedding

Kourtney Kardashian announced that she wanted to be legally married to Travis Barker in Las Vegas earlier this week, but said the couple have been blocked from doing so.

The reality TV star, 42, is believed to have married her fiancé, 46, in a wedding ceremony at 2am Monday morning following their performance at the Grammys.

The couple shared photos from the wedding – which was officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator – although it has since been confirmed that it was not a legally binding marriage.

That’s because the couple, who got engaged last year, didn’t have a marriage license since Kourtney broached the issue on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night.

During an interview with the Kardashian-Jenner family, talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, 54, said fans didn’t initially know that Kourtney was just “married the wrong way.”

However, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians alum disagreed with his phrasing, telling him, “Well, it doesn’t mean wrongly married.” She then went on to explain the issue that had arisen.

“At that hour there was no comparable way to get a marriage license,” she commented. However, that remark was caught off guard by her young sister, Kim Kardashian, 41.

Kim said, “Isn’t everything there 24/7?” Kourtney said she thought that was the case, but claimed that she and Travis didn’t get a marriage license at the time.

Kourtney said she even questioned whether they were being lied to, asking “like five times” what the couple would need to do to make their plan happen.

She went on to say that the couple were told they would not be able to get a license until hours after their planned wedding. She said: “It was 2am and they were like it was going to open at 8am.”

When asked by the talk show host if she wanted to “get married properly,” Kourtney replied, “We did. Yes. We did it anyway. It is what is in the heart.”

The interview also asked her family if they knew about the ceremony, with her mother Kris Jenner, 66, and sister Khloé Kardashian, 37, admitting they knew.

It appeared her other sisters Kim, Kendall Jenner, 26, and Kylie Jenner, 24 – the latter was absent from the interview – were unaware of the ceremony.

Kim even revealed that she was sleeping when the ceremony took place, and she suggested she found out after Kourtney posted on her group chat.
