Kurt Zouma Faces Growing Backlash For Mistreatment Of Her Cat

Kurt Zouma has been mocked by Newcastle United fans as West Ham Defenders continue to face backlash Shocking footage of him kicking his cat.

The Hammers centre-back started in their lunchtime clash with the Magpies at the London Stadium.

Traveling fans wasted no time taking aim at the Frenchman as they displayed the inflatable cats.

Fans at the back of the field were also heard chanting: “Heyyyyyy, Hey Zouma, Oooh, Aahh, I wanna knowww, how did you kick that cat.”

The footage of the incident was filmed by Yoan, Zouma’s brother, who came back suspended by Dagenham & Redbridge.

The cats were seized by the RSPCA while the player was fined up to £250k by his club.

West Ham were heavily criticized when they started Zouma just days after the breakdown in their win Watford.

The Hammers boss once again has to deal with the situation, but is keen to draw a line under it.

He said: “I think he’s probably really frustrated with what he’s done and he’s thinking about it a lot, no doubt, but overall, we’ve managed to he continued.

“We want him to focus on his training. He played really well for us against Watford last week there, so we hope that we can keep him at a performance level. – we will be happy with that.

“He’s really been the favorite here among the supporters, the performances he’s shown throughout the season, so hopefully he can focus on his football and us. I will support him as much as I can until we get him back to his best.”

West Ham director Karren Brady also recently made clear his feelings about the incident.

She condemns the actions of Zouma, who is signing a summer contract, but wants to emphasize the sadness he feels.

Brady wrote in Sun: “I feel it is important and appropriate at this stage to emphasize that Kurt Zouma, who is fully aware of the gravity of his actions.

“I’ve said it before, but now I can say it again, because I’ve seen it with my own eyes and heard it with my own ears – he deeply regrets it.

“He has since apologized, and also sincerely apologized to everyone at the Club and to the wider public.

“It’s an important first step on his journey of rehabilitation and redemption and it’s a journey on which we will fully support him.”

West Ham remain firmly in the top hunt alongside the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.
