Kylie Jenner fires back at makeup artist who accused her of gaslighting fans

Kylie Jenner fires back at a makeup artist who questioned her Kylie Cosmetics safety practices.

On Wednesday, cosmetics developer Kevin James Bennett called out the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star over photos of her work with cosmetics products “in the lab” in Italy, as she captioned the snaps she shared via Instagram earlier that day.

The 24-year-old beauty mogul came under fire after fans noticed she wasn’t wearing a hair cap and gloves while handling products in the pictures. Bennett shared the same sentiment, accusing Jenner of allegedly “tricking her followers into thinking she was making cosmetics.”

Jenner clapped back at the makeup artist and commented on the post, “Kevin – this picture was not taken at a production facility. I would never circumvent hygiene protocols, and neither would any celebrity or beauty brand owner. That’s totally unacceptable, I agree,” according to Us Weekly.

The Kylie Cosmetics founder continued, “This is a little personal space where I create my own fun patterns and take photos for content that’s far from mass-produced. Nobody puts customers at risk!”

Jenner not only gave Bennett a statement, but also slammed the beauty influencer for allegedly spreading fake news. “Shame on you Kevin for spreading false information,” she wrote.

Following Jenner’s response, Bennett doubled down on his comments, claiming that the reality star was lying.

“Are you seriously going to lie and then troll me? Wow,” he replied, along with a rolling eye emoji.

“Were you there Kevin?” Jenner replied before cracking a joke about one of her multiple greyhounds. “Ugh, now I have to change my dog’s name.”

In his first post, Bennett shared snaps of Jenner on his Instagram account and wrote that Kardashian-Jenner fans are “gonna catch my throat for calling her cosmetics queen… but WTF.”

Bennett said his job involved working with cosmetics manufacturers and he was “NEVER allowed into the lab or production floor without a hairnet, shoe covers, mask and disposable gloves.”

“Guys, this is not how we make cosmetics and misrepresents how our industry works. Credible manufacturers follow strict hygiene protocols to keep you safe,” he added in the caption, along with the hashtags “ShameOnYou” and “KylieJenner.”
