Kylie Jenner Responds to Claims of Unsanitary Regulations at Kylie Cosmetics

Kylie Jenner has responded to allegations that she didn’t use proper hygiene protocols in her Kylie Cosmetics manufacturing lab.

On Wednesday (3 August), the 24-year-old founder visited the cosmetics factory of her namesake beauty brand in Milan, Italy.

There, Jenner shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos to give fans a glimpse of upcoming Kylie Cosmetics products.

“We’re in Milan for 24 hours to visit all the makeup factories and see if there’s any new stuff coming from Kylie Cosmetics which I’m really excited about and wanted to take you guys,” Jenner said in a posted to TikTok video her account.

“Today we are perfecting new @kyliecosmetics in Italy,” she captioned the video.

In the clip, Jenner wears a white lab coat while watching some of her brand’s makeup products being made.

The reality star was filmed pouring a shimmering powder into a measuring cup and testing a cream concealer or foundation on her hand.

She also shared some photos on Instagram of her mixing ingredients. “Creating new magic for you in the lab,” she captioned the post.

However, many fans responded by noting that Jenner appeared not to be wearing PPE — personal protective equipment — when she visited the cosmetics lab.

Barely a hairnet, Jenner’s long black hair featured in many photos, while her nails handled the products bare-bones.

Emmy-winning makeup artist and cosmetics developer Kevin James Bennett called Jenner on his own, accusing her of “gaslighting” her clients.

“I’m a cosmetics developer and my job involves working with cosmetics manufacturers (and their labs),” he captioned his post.

“I have very short hair and was NEVER allowed into the lab or production hall without a hairnet, shoe covers, mask… and disposable gloves.”

Now, Jenner has responded to the claims by writing a comment on Bennett’s post, explaining that the photos were not taken at a manufacturing facility.

“Kevin — this picture was not taken at a manufacturing facility,” she began.

“I would never break hygiene protocols, and neither would any celebrity or beauty brand owner. That is totally unacceptable, I agree.

“This is a little personal space where I create my own fun patterns and take pictures for content that’s far from mass-produced. Nobody endangers customers! Shame on you Kevin for spreading false information!!!!” Kylie Jenner Responds to Claims of Unsanitary Regulations at Kylie Cosmetics
